Canada is one of the most northern countries in North America. It is a huge country that stretches coast to coast from the Pacific Ocean all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. Canada has amazing mountains covering the south western part of Canada, which has stunning countryside.

Some of the outstanding features include the Niagara Falls, glaciers, the Rocky Mountains and some of the most beautiful rivers and lakes in North America. The Rockies are home to some of the most stunning landscapes in the whole country. While you are visiting these great mountains and landscapes of Canada, you can enjoy the scenery, go on hike, climb a few mountains, or even enjoy the wildlife.

Canada was controlled by the British and French centuries ago and so there is great diversity of history around the whole country. If you enjoy researching local history then you need to go and visit Alberta. This city is full of local history and culture, tracking all the way back to when civilization first began in North America. As you head eastward, and work your way towards the coast, you will see a lot more historical landmarks and buildings.

Alberta is one of the oldest cities in the country and it is also the largest with a population of 3.2 million people. There are endless tourist attractions in Alberta, including skiing, hiking, sopping, and many more attractions. Alberta is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Canada. When tourists stay there many visit some of the National Parks, spend a day at the beautiful lakes that are in the area and take a day hiking, or maybe even skiing, depending on the season.

 

Canada has some great cosmopolitan cities and one of the most popular of these is Toronto. Toronto is a popular family holiday destination and many tourists stay in self catering holiday accommodation. It is a vibrant city full of a diverse range of cultures and nationalities. This is reflected in the many different types of food on offer and many districts of Toronto is populated by different ethnic mixes.

Toronto is home to the Sky Tower and you can have a meal at the revolving restaurant at the top of this unique building. Toronto also has its own baseball team and that plays in a stadium that's roof closes in adverse weather conditions. While staying on holiday in Toronto you can shop and experience the many local landmarks of this truly special city. The special thing about Toronto is that you can leave the city and then find yourself in some of the best scenery in the world.

Canada is home to the Niagara Falls and the Great Lakes. It also has the Rocky Mountains and has some of the best skiing in the world. Many families go back to Canada year after year staying in holiday home accommodation.
